We are so appreciative of all the ways people help us. However it is definitely true to say that the most important way people can assist us is by donating money to the operational costs of the home. This money goes directly towards running the home and is the best way to support the children. Join Charity Begins at Home
Sign up to give a dollar a day! Your ongoing support is vitally important to the work we do at Cholmondeley. Support Cholmondeley for a mere dollar a day! Or you can contact the home on 03-329 9832 and we can send an automatic payment authority out to you.

Make a bequest to Cholmondeley
A bequest is a gift to charity after your death. Bequests can make a significant difference to Cholmondeley, and will allow you to leave a lasting legacy to the Children of Canterbury. For more information on how to leave a bequest from Cholmondeley.

Collection box
Place a Cholmondeley collection box in your work reception, store counter or clubrooms. It is very easy, we will deliver and collect the box to you as often as you wish. The Cholmondeley collection box will not only brighten up the space but will also allow people to donated any loose change to a great cause. Its definitely true that all of the pennies add up very quickly!

Payroll giving
The easy way to get your employees involved with your chosen charity. There are two ways and you can choose whatever suits your workplace and payrolls system best.

Donating a specific amount each week/fortnight/month – eg. 20 dollars a week taken directly from your pay with the accumulated company total being transferred directly to Cholmondeley
Donating an “hour of your pay” – donate the last hour of the week to Cholmondeley. The amount you donate would directly relate to how much you are paid per hour, again the accumulated company total would be directly transferred to Cholmondeley. Why not donate your final hour on a Friday…..you’re not really going to be doing any working that hour, now are you!?

If your company would like to upgrade the employee giving then why not match the employee donations dollar for dollar. That way the employee and employer are both equal contributors in the charity partnership.

Become a Cholmondeley Sponsor
For companies who want, not just to donate, but to become part of a mutually beneficial charity partnership, Cholmondeley has developed a series of sponsorship levels:
Gold – donation amount $15,000 +
Silver – donation amount $7,500- $14,999k
Bronze - donation amount $1001- $7,499k

Wishlist
With a family of 30 in residence at any time we always need a variety of items, toothbrushes and toiletries, a new trampoline, meat and vegetables, anything we don’t have to pay for helps to reduce our costs. For a look at our full wishlist.

Volunteer
There are always lots of jobs to be done around the home, and if you have some time to spare we would love your help. Perhaps you have a few hours a week and are a fantastic administrator? Our fundraising team could definitely use your help. Maybe you are a house-proud laundry-guru – we have many housekeeping jobs that always need to be done. More information on volunteering.
