What is WebFair?

WebFair's mottoWebFair is like an online version of a real-live community fair, with a range of charities (you could think of them as stallholders) each selling items donated by individuals and businesses. The proceeds of each sale go directly to the charity at the end of the auction process, with WebFair charging just $1 commission per item.

WebFair runs in two parts: A three-week gifting phase followed by a week-long online fair.

How does gifting work?

Step 1 — Choose an item to gift (this could be something you no longer need, a new item, a service your business offers, or a hero item).
Step 2 — Load your item into Cholmondeley's online fair
Step 3 — Watch your item being auctioned (or do some bidding of your own!)
Step 3 — Cholmondeley collects the funds from the sale
Step 4 — Buyer picks up your gifted item

Be into win a $500 Westfield Gift Card just by gifting an item to auction

Psst! Every gift loaded onto WebFair between 2 & 23 June will go into a draw to win a $500 Westfield gift card, drawn on 24 June. (2 gifts = 2 chances etc.)

What are hero items?

Hero items are stand-out auction pieces that help generate interest and extra funds for Cholmondeley — generally things you wouldn't see for sale at your usual community fair! Businesses are particularly well-suited to gifting hero items. Examples include:

  • signed memorabilia
  • art
  • experiences
  • vouchers
  • dinners
  • luxury goods
  • homewares
  • services

Please contact Renee if you'd like to gift a hero item.

Feedback from Cholmondeley children and familiesSo, whether you list an item, or buy one, you’re part of helping children at Cholmondeley create magical, lasting memories at a crucial moment in their young lives. Experiences that could cause long-term harm and family disintegration, become instead opportunities to build resilience and strengthen families. That. Is. Awesome.
