A Garden Tour and Devonshire Tea for Cholmondeley Children’s Centre

In March, Cholmondeley was invited to attend an Open Day at Meadowbank Homestead in Leeston.

The owners opeeed up their property to the public, offering exclusive access and guided tours through the homestead and aboretum, with all proceeds from ticket sales kindly donated to Cholmondeley.

The event sold out within days of tickets going live and it was a beautiful day. Thank you Meadowbank Homestead for supporting Cholmondeley.

The Great 100 Year Bike Ride for Cholmondeley

Inspired by our friend René Heyde who biked across Australia for Cholmondeley last year, Cholmondeley's Patron Nuk Korako and Chairperson Nettles Lamont took on their own challenge - The Great 100 Year Bike Ride for Cholmondeley.

Together, Nuk and Nettles cycled the length of New Zealand's North Island together to fundraise for and celebrate 100 years of Cholmondeley Children's Centre.

This was Nuk's second ride raising money for a cause close to his heart. In 2022 he rode from Christchurch to Bluff raising funds for a young woman in need of life-changing surgery.

Nettles and Nuk spent two weeks in January pedalling the more than 1,000 kilometres to Wellington.

Following the North Island journey a South Island ride will begin later in 2025, with corporate teams encouraged to join for 150 km segments. Further details to come.

To donate head to Nuk or Nettles’ Givealittle pages.

To follow their journey take a look at Nuk or Nettles’ social media pages and keep an eye on Cholmondeley’s News page.
